EAS has two official publications - our Aquaculture Europe magazine and newsletter and our scientific journal Aquaculture Inernational (AQUI). We also produce a bi-monthly newsletter for our members.

Aquaculture Europe Magazine & Newsletter 

AQUACULTURE EUROPE is published biannually (in March and September) as a magazine (PDF) and bimonthly (in Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec) as a newsletter (PDF). It is included with your EAS membership, or available on a separate subscription basis. It is composed of articles and news of aquaculture developments with a focus in Europe. The newsletter is made up of short news updates, recent reports & publications and other news received from our members.

We are always interested in receiving short articles and news that you want to share. See the guidelines for submission of articles. We also propose excellent advertising rates, and EAS Institutional Members and Corporate members have special advertising benefits.

Aquaculture International

Aquaculture International (AQUI) is a peer-reviewed journal comprising original research papers, short communications, technical notes and review papers on all aspects of aquaculture. The first issue appeared in 1993, providing EAS with an important dissemination tool for the scientific community.

The Journal covers diverse topics, including:
- biology, physiology, pathology and genetics of cultured fish, crustaceans, molluscs and plants.
- water quality of supply systems and the environmental impacts of aquacultural operations.
- nutrition, feeding and stocking practices, especially as they affect the health, behaviour, appetite, conversion efficiency and growth rates of  cultured species.
- development of economically sound and sustainable production techniques.
- bioengineering studies - design and management of offshore and land-based systems, as well as the integration and application of improved scientific and engineering technologies.
- improvement of quality and marketing of farmed products.
- sociological and societal impacts of aquaculture.

The journal also publishes themed collections on aquaculture.

The AQUI Editors-in-Chief are Professors Gavin Burnell of the University College Cork in Ireland, and Brian Austin of the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling, in Scotland, the UK.

AQUI has an Editorial Board of eminent scientists. The journal is published by Springer Nature.

EAS welcomes review papers and papers related to all aspects of European and international aquaculture.
We also encourage those members that publish regularly to refer in any of their own papers to recent and relevant AQUI papers, both published and 'in press' (through the Springer Nature online first service).
