Oyster World Congress  - Building a sustainable future

Arcachon Bay, France, November 28 - December 2, 2012

The objective of the Congress is to present information, feedback, and ongoing research concerning the prospects for a sustainable oyster-farming industry. These issues focus on four challenges: Research - Overview of resources and future prospects; Zoo-sanitary issues - Producing and protecting oysters; Sustainable development - Oyster-farming in its environment; Economy and markets - Oysters, from producers to consumers. Issues will be examined from business, technical, and scientific angles, as well as presenting a governance standpoint.
