FAO Global Aquaculture Conference - June 2010

"Farming the Waters for Food and People" is the theme of the Aquaculture 2010 conference organised by FAO, NACA and the Thai Department of Fisheries, to be held in Bangkok in June next year. The conference will review and address emerging issues in aquaculture development and build consensus on advancing aquaculture as a global, sustainable and competitieve food production sector.

Impact of EU Research

International website dedicated to fish reproduction

REPROFISH, a European initiative aiming to summarise the most important breakthroughs in terms of fish reproduction research, and demonstrate their application to fish farming, has launched its website . This site is not only for scientists, but equally for fish farming professionals, students and the general public.

Sturgeons in Serbia

The Center for Multidisciplinary Studies of the Belgrade University, Serbia, have developed a web presentation "Sturgeons in Serbia ", within a project for raising environmental awareness concerning sturgeon protection issues. The site covers issues related to sturgeon species present in Serbia, state of their populations, endangering factors, as well as overview of relevant national and intenational legislation, stakeholders and publications.
